002 - The Lies That Cradle Us
A declaration not against tyrants, but against illusions
Some chains are made of gold. Some are made of story.
We were told a story.
That progress is inevitable.
That someone else is handling it.
That the system is broken—but fixing it would be worse.
We were told we live in a democracy.
But only those with money have microphones.
Only those with power set the stage.
And the rest of us—teachers, workers, mothers, dreamers—are told to applaud.
We were told the market would save us.
That the free hand was wise.
But its fingers wrapped round the throat of the earth,
and still it wanted more.
We were told to grow up.
To stop believing in revolution,
in solidarity,
in justice.
We were told change is slow,
compromise is noble,
and there is no alternative.
We say: Enough.
We unlearn the lullabies.
We smash the cradle of comfort.
We step beyond the illusions.
We are the alternative.
The future will not be built by sleepwalkers.
Wake up.
Join us.
