Our Progress & Path Forward
The 2025 Annual Report is Coming Soon (January 28, 2026)
We believe in radical transparency and building in the open. Our second Annual Report—covering TCUS’s progress throughout 2025 and the evolution of Pathfinder and our Bold Pilots—will be released on January 28, 2026, marking our second anniversary.
As we finalize the full report, explore the major highlights from 2025 below, or revisit our 2024 report that captured our founding vision.
Preview: Highlights from 2025
$100k+ Aligned for Education
Proved our “Pathfinder” model in two phases: first, by acting as the active aligner in a $63k, three-partner project to build classrooms in Azezo. Second, by serving as trusted infrastructure to facilitate a $70k DAF transfer for the Gendit school library.
See the Case Study →The “Human Engine” Deployed
Launched our Human Capacity strategy through a distributed R&D pod that included Ephratah Lakew (U.S.-based aspiring engineer) providing remote research and Robel Zeray (Addis-based architect) developing on-site sustainable designs.
Pathfinder MVP Launched
Successfully built and launched Libelle, the “People Layer” of the TCUS Superstack—proving our “stack builds the stack” principle by onboarding the global volunteers building the rest of our open-source infrastructure.
Join via Libelle →Global Community Growth
Our volunteer community expanded to include contributors from institutions such as Cornell, Carnegie Mellon, and UMich (Go Blue!)—working alongside mothers, retirees, high-school students, and on-site partners in Africa.

Archive: Highlights from Year One (2024)
The Origin: Frustration into Action
“I worked in the energy sector… increasingly fixated on short-term profits… This realization compelled me to leave… What does the world need? … [Ethiopia trip] … where I witnessed not only profound challenges but also immense opportunities.”
“The idea took root on a field in Ethiopia… ‘walking skeletons.’ My mind raced — where to even begin?”
Establishing the Foundation & First Partnerships
“Year 1 focused on building the foundation: establishing financial systems, securing 501(c)(3) status, and forging key partnerships.” We established strategic alliances with Soddo Christian Hospital (Ethiopia) and Together We Learn (UK), creating pathways for high-impact initiatives.
Early Impact: Proving the Model
“Our first initiative focused on healthcare access. We raised $2,100 for life-saving care at Soddo Christian Hospital, matching donor contributions dollar-for-dollar [$1,050 from donors, matched by TCUS] to help patients who couldn’t afford critical treatment.”
Strategic Focus: Why Ethiopia?
“Why Ethiopia? Because what happens here doesn’t stay here… it is a test case for what’s possible… Ethiopia has the potential to lead the way toward SSP1.” We begin by investing in human potential — education, healthcare, and skills.
